All experiences qualify for stipends, so please keep track of your time and send us an invoice each time you reach 20 hours! We can provide you with a template, and more events will be scheduled soon.
- Sat., June 20: Salem STREAM~N Team’s first BBQ at Woodmansee Park, 4629 Sunnyside Rd SE, Salem, OR 97302 starting at noon: Teens ages 15-18 from the Salem-Keizer-Silverton area invited to connect with wonderful local coordinators Eyan Hackney and Kristina Zatarain. You will also be able to connect with other other interested youth and STREAM~N Team Founder Rick Reynolds. Help us improve the park a bit and plan this exciting new chapter of The STREAM~N Network!

- Wed., July 8: Service-learning work party and gathering at the new Canyon’s Edge STREAM~N Center from 9:30-noon. 650 Alden St. in Oregon City.
- What to Bring:
- Please wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes that can’t slip off your feet.
- We suggest long sleeves, durable pants, and a hat.
- A reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
- What’s Provided: Snacks, watermelon, tools and work gloves. Feel free to bring your own gloves and tools, too.

- What to Bring:
- Fri., July 10: Fab Friday at Clackamas Community College’s (CCC’s) Les de Asis Makerspace, Holden Technology Center – left side of building (19600 Molalla Ave, Oregon City, OR 97045) from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Engineer/educator Craig Connors will give us a tour at 5:00, then we’ll build community while we build cool things! Possibilities including woodworking, 3D modeling and printing, CNC operation, welding, laser engraving, and more. One option is helping us create “Plant Name Tags” for the many native species we are planting nearby at the new Canyon’s Edge STREAM~N Center.

- What to Bring:
- Sat., July 11: Stewardship Saturday at the Environmental Learning Center (ELC) at CCC (21 Inskeep Dr. in Oregon City) from 10:00 am – noon, followed by lunch and STREAM~N Team activities until 1:00 pm
- Mon., July 13: Litter Pickup and Learning at beautiful Kelley Point Park in Portland with Yoko Silk from Portland Parks & Recreation from 9:30-1:00. We’ll end with lunch and fun on the beach, so feel free to bring beach gear if you’d like. 🙂
- Wed., July 15: Tour of the Oak Lodge Wastewater Treatment Plant (13750 Southeast Renton Avenue, Milwaukie, OR 97222), and service-learning before or after. Stay tuned for the times and other details!
- Thurs., July 16: Land tending and Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) education with Parrott Creek’s Cultural Ecology Program in Oregon City from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
- Fri., July 17: Land tending and TEK Education with Leach Botanical Garden and their East 5 Enhancement Project in Portland from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
- Wed., July 22: Stewardship at the ELC from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
- Thurs, July 23: Riparian restoration service-learning and sustainable forest education with Bonny Glendenning from Port Blakely Tree Farms, Molalla, OR from 10 am – 3:00 pm.
- Thurs.-Fri., July 30-July 31: Service-learning at the Oregon Coast in and around Newport! We will team up with Yakona Nature Preserve, Hatfield Marine Science Center / Oregon State University, Oregon Coast Aquarium and other partners. Please save the dates and stay tuned for details! 🙂
- Sat., August 1: Stewardship Saturday at the ELC from 10:00 am – noon
- Thurs., August 27: Star party at the ELC from 9:00 pm –
- August (date to be chosen with Team): Service-learning at beautiful Hopkins Demonstration Forest (16750 S Brockway Rd, Oregon City, OR 97045) from 10 am – 1 pm. May include fuels reduction, pesky plant removal, and/or research projects. Let us know if you would like a lift from the ELC at 9:30.
What to Bring:- Please wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes that can’t slip off your feet, weather-appropriate clothing, and bring a backpack for hands-free convenience.
- Long sleeves and durable pants.
- Feel free to bring your own work gloves, if available, and a reusable water bottle to support our sustainability efforts.
- We also suggest you bring a bag lunch that we can enjoy together in the forest.
